Two BETSRG Students Awarded Prestigious Wentz Research Grants

Patrick Steichen and Colton Tubbs were recently awarded the prestigious Wentz Research Grant, awarded by the Lew Wentz Foundation. These grants are awarded annually to approximately forty undergraduate students across the university to perform independent research under the supervision of a faculty mentor.

Dr. Bradshaw is awarded the Golden Torch Award by the Mortar Board Society

Dr. Craig Bradshaw is presented the Golden Torch award by the Achafoa chapter of the Mortar Board society at their annual initiation ceremony. This award is presented annually to one member of each college within the university. Dr. Bradshaw was one of five faculty awarded at the event.

The goal of the undergraduate student grants – in conjunction with third party donations – is to increase undergraduate involvement of up to date topics in the built environment.

The Oklahoma Center for Advancement of Science and Technology (OCAST) have awarded Drs. Bach and Bradshaw a grant through the Oklahoma Applied Research Support (OARS) program for their proposal titled "Reducing Time to Market for Commercial A/C Equipment through Development of a Simulation Platform for Multi-Circuit Evaporator Coil Performance".

Brian Fronk Gives Talk to BETSRG Students

Dr. Brian Fronk visited BETRG from Oregon State recently.  Dr. Fronk gave a talk titled "Supercritical Carbon Dioxide Heat Transfer in Microchannel Devices for Advanced Thermal Systems" to a standing room only crowd.
