BETSRG welcomes new faculty to their research group - 08-2016
Aug 2016 –
Dr. Craig Bradshaw joins BETSRG as an expert in compressor development, simulation, and testing.
Dr. Bradshaw was previously the Manager of Research and Development at TORAD Engineering. He received his Ph.D. in 2012 and his B.S. (with honors option) in 2008, both in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University.
Dr. Bradshaw’s research interests include the study of thermal systems, their components, and their impact on the environment. Dr. Bradshaw has authored 28 journal and conference publications on these topics and is a named inventor on 6 patents. While at TORAD, Dr. Bradshaw developed modeling tools to enable rapid design of a new compressor mechanism, the spool compressor. He also assisted in the development of an array of performance testing infrastructure. While at Purdue, Dr. Bradshaw was awarded the Ward A. Lambert Teaching Fellowship which provides a year of teaching experience at the university level for graduate students who show potential for academic positions. Dr. Bradshaw has also been awarded several awards for his research which include the best student paper at the 2010 and 2012 International Compressor Engineering Conference.
